Together with Ocean Life International, our team has 11 companies were in Dubai to partcipate their first time ever Aquariya 2009 exhibition and show, from 4th to 6th March. These companies are Chai Seng from Johor, King Kong Arowana from Melaca, Inno Fisheries from Sabah, Fish Link Worldwide from Batu Caves Selangor, Bukit Merah Arowana from Perak, us - OLI from KL, Greeny Tropical from Johor, E-Arowana from Kedah, FSF from Selangor, Hikari Enterprise from Johor, AI from Sg. Buloh Selangor.

To most of the Dubai Arabs businessmen (the Locals), aquatics business is relatively new industry, and most businesses are run and manage by the immigrates mostly Indians. They too have relatively little knowledge about the industry especially live fish, like Discus, Fancy Goldfish, Arowana and Marine Carols.

With the helps of our brother, I managed to bring in four Discus, LSS and Pigeon Cheaker Boards, each 4 to 5 inches over to the show.

Guess what! They were on the late night news on the first day after the official opening by the Minister of Fisheries, UAE. The news reporter said, there in Aquariya 2009 has four Discus that have never been seen in Dubai for the last 10 years!!! Wow! what a amazing statement! Throughout the fair, only OLI has Discus and they had became one of the star of the show!

Dr. Haida, the local Arab, a high ranking official in Health Ministry of UAE bought the four Discus and became the new owner now.

I took some photos with our DOF's head, Tuan Haji Ismail while he was introducing our TECHNO AQUASLIM wall mounted aquarium to Mr. Obaid Moh. Juma Al-Matroshi, The Deputy Minister for Fisheries of UAE. Then we exchange of gifts, Discus Book 2 was given away to him also.

I also brought about 50 copies of Discus Gallery posters to be giving away to serious Discus hobbyists.

We are studying how to influrence them that fish like Discus and Goldfish should be appreciated on their beauty, quality, breed, and health rather than just only on prices or like Tropical fish as they are been practicing with the supplies from Thai farms.
